Sick of bland granola bars with empty calories from oats? So were we, so we reached out a local baker to come up with a recipe using healthy ingredients, using Quinoa and other natural ingredients. We're happy to present the
QCB (Quinoa Chia Banana) Granola!
- ½ cup Rinsed Quinoa
- 1 cup Quinoa Flakes
- 2 Bananas
- 2 tablespoon Chia Seed
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- Chocolate chunks
- Strawberry
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ½ cup Crushed Almonds
- ⅓ cup Cranberries (or raisins, dried blueberries)
- ¼ cup Natural Peanut Butter
- 2 tablespoon Canadian Maple Syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Line 8" x 8" baking pan with parchment paper
- Combine the following ingredients in large bowl: Quinoa oats, Quinoa, Chia, Salt, Cinnamon, and sit in Bananas and Vanilla. Mix in almonds and cranberries
- Heat small saucepan, add peanut butter and maple syrup while stirring, until mixture flows smoothly. Slowly add dry mix while stirring, until consistent
- Pour mixture into pan lined with parchment, put in oven for 25 minutes and edges are browned, allow to cool and remove from pan before cutting into snack size squares - approximately 12 squares
